I have been working on lowering the fat in a lot of the items I bake and with a few subs I can usually pull it off. I had a big craving for chocolate and these brownies hit the spot. As well, it makes a small pan for less temptation!

I played around with a recipe and was quite happy with the results. Just enough fat that they don’t taste “low fat” but enough other items added to be really moist. Be sure to watch the time – don’t let them over bake.

I do realize that Kashi products can be a bit too healthy for some – before I had braces put on I loved eating Kashi cereal….though it took forever to eat a bowl of it..chew chew chew!

I did the usual of “a little this, a little of that” to pull together this soup. We had it with a small loaf of Asiago cheese bread – the crust was perfect for soaking in the broth. I don’t salt my soup, so fair warning….to those who like salt this will need some.
