In The Park

It was a lovely day on Friday – warm and sunny, it actually got above 70° (and is cold and raining this morning!), so Walker and I went down to the community park, which is next to the lake we live on. Walker is getting *just* big enough to play there.

This was his first time to visit the park and he walked into it by himself 🙂

He wasn’t so sure of the swing at first:

And back he went:

He was watching all the kids next to him, on the older kid swings:

Then we tried out the smallest slide, which he happily went down:

But, wow…the sun was bright. Only problem with going out in the late afternoon!

Then we had quiet time in the grass, picking the tiny daisies.

We ended up having to leave as a large group of children came to the park (around 40!) and most were around 6-8 years old, nearly multiple times running him over. It wasn’t safe and the parents were not doing anything to corral their kids 😦 So we walked back home but at least we had a nice playtime before that.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
